Southeast Asia’s leading New Music Ensemble, Tacet(i) from Thailand brings their vision for the future of music making and multicultural collaborations to America. As part of their first American tour, Tacet(i), Mudita America Inc., and composers/musicians from @peabodyinstitute make a unique collaboration to curate and perform the concert at An Die Musik, Baltimore on Nov. 12th (Sat) at 3:30 pm.
The project intends to organize a series of performances and workshops centered on extended instruments and global sounds concerning the idea of sonic identities and instrumental connotations in global cultures.

mrs. rochester: an autobiography is a new multi-genre musical adaptation/expansion of the classic novel Jane Eyre. We follow Jane's well-known story as she chooses between facing selfish happiness and unhappy selflessness. We uncover Bertha's lost narrative of disillusionment and transformational healing. This concert/reading will invite you to a landscape of folk, jazz, pop, and classic musical theatre, combined to create a dreamscape of feminine love, loss, and fury.
the shape of a child will be in residence at Avaloch Farm Music Institute the second week of July, developing the project on a scenic haven for artists in New Hampshire.
“Bang on a Can and MASS MoCA present LOUD Weekend, a fully loaded eclectic super-mix of minimal, experimental, and electronic music over three days throughout the museum’s expansive campus.” It also represents the culmination of the three-week Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival, where I was a participating composition fellow.

Thrilled to be performing “Still/Exist,” the opening from my multimedia music theater project the shape of a child, LIVE from Brooklyn on Bang on a Can’s next online Marathon! My set is between 2pm and 3pm.
The Bang on a Can Marathon of Song features 15 performances streamed from musicians’ homes around the country and across the world. For this Marathon, all performances will include some type of vocalization – singing, speaking, murmuring, or other use of the voice. The Marathon will be hosted by Bang on a Can’s artistic directors Michael Gordon, David Lang and Julia Wolfe who will speak to the artists after each performance.

The TRENTON YOUTH SINGERS (TYS) is a youth choir, run by Princeton University students, that serves middle school students from Trenton public schools. During weekly rehearsals, members engage in a mixture of full choir and small-group singing, learning an eclectic mix of repertoire while building their musicianship skills and vocal strength. TYS has previously performed in Rockefeller College and in collaboration with the Trenton Youth Orchestra. TYS is supported by the Department of Music and the Pace Center for Civic Engagement.

the digital release of beth golison’s new musical adaptation of jane eyre as part of NYU Tisch Playwright HoriZOOMS digital festival. The project was developed for an intended run at the Robert Moss Theater in early April 2020, and has been reworked as a visual album for this festival.
